- Verify tank is in good condition and certification period has not expired.
- Ensure all valves are switched off during transport.
- No riders on trailer; clear surrounding area of unauthorized personnel.
2. Proper Fuel Filling Procedures
- Open filler cap slowly to relieve internal pressure.
- Fill using a nozzle only – never a hard direct connection.
- Visually monitor fuel gauge; stop at 95% of capacity.
- After filling, hand‑tighten cap and turn an additional quarter turn.
3. Safe Fuel Dispensing Operations
- Manually hold nozzle and depress trigger while pump is operating.
- Continuously monitor fuel gauge to prevent overfilling.
- Return nozzle and hose to pump cabinet after use.
- Switch off all ball valves and pumps securely.
- Use correct filter to match diesel engine if connected to generator.
4. Continuous Monitoring & Routine Maintenance
- Always have a trained operator in attendance during filling or transfer.
- Use a daily checklist: fuel level, hoses/connections, electrical wires, bent/broken components.
- Repair issues immediately using genuine replacement parts.
