1. Preparation before debugging
Confirm that the model and specifications of the breathing valve match the storage tank, and check whether the appearance of the breathing valve is damaged and whether the parts are complete.
Prepare the tools required for debugging, such as wrenches, pressure testers, etc.
Ensure that the environment around the storage tank is safe, free of flammable and explosive items, and well ventilated.
2. Pressure setting
Clearly define the design pressure and working pressure range of the diesel fuel tank, and the opening pressure of the breathing valve should be adjusted within this range. Generally speaking, the positive pressure opening pressure is usually set at a level slightly higher than the normal working pressure of the storage tank to prevent the pressure in the tank from being too high; the negative pressure opening pressure is set at a level slightly lower than the normal working pressure to avoid excessive negative pressure in the tank causing deformation of the tank body.
Use a pressure tester to connect to the pressure test interface of the breathing valve, slowly increase or decrease the pressure, and observe the action of the breathing valve. When the pressure reaches the set positive pressure opening value, the valve disc of the breathing valve should begin to rise, allowing gas to be discharged; when the pressure drops to the negative pressure opening value, the valve disc should open to allow air to enter.
3. Sealing inspection
When the breathing valve is in the closed state, use a sealing tester or apply soapy water to check the sealing of the breathing valve. Focus on checking the contact between the valve disc and the valve seat, the flange connection, etc. to ensure that there is no leakage. If leakage is found, the cause must be found and repaired in time. It may be due to wear of the valve disc, damage to the sealing gasket, or loose connection bolts.
4. Review after debugging
After debugging, check again whether the breathing valve is installed firmly and whether the connection parts are tight.
Carry out pressure charging and pressure relief tests on the storage tank to simulate the pressure changes under actual working conditions, observe whether the action of the breathing valve is accurate and sensitive, and ensure that it can work normally under different working conditions.
During the entire debugging process, it is necessary to strictly follow the installation and debugging instructions of the breathing valve and relevant safety specifications to ensure that the breathing valve can work normally and ensure the safe operation of the diesel fuel tank.
