Storage tanks should be placed in well-ventilated areas to avoid direct sunlight and high temperature environments. Good ventilation can promptly disperse volatile flammable and explosive gases, reduce concentrations, and reduce the risk of explosion; direct sunlight and high temperatures will increase the temperature of the paint fuel in the tank, accelerating volatilization and deterioration, so it is necessary to choose a shady and relatively constant temperature site, such as an open industrial site with a sunshade. At the same time, the surrounding area needs to be away from fire and heat sources, such as boiler rooms and welding work areas, and maintain a safe distance of at least 30 meters from open flame work areas.
② Installation specifications
The installation ground must be solid and flat, and can withstand the weight of the tank when fully loaded. The ground can be compacted first, and a concrete foundation can be poured if necessary to prevent the tank from tilting and deforming due to ground subsidence, which in turn causes leakage accidents. The tank must be installed firmly and fixed by anchor bolts to ensure that it can remain stable under natural disasters such as strong winds and earthquakes. After the installation is completed, the verticality of the tank needs to be checked, and the deviation should be controlled within a very small range.
③ Daily maintenance
Periodically inspect the appearance of the storage tank to see if there are signs of corrosion, deformation, or leakage. Pay special attention to the welds, and conduct a detailed inspection at least once a month. You can use soapy water to smear the welds to detect leaks. For sealed parts, such as sealing gaskets and valve seals, replace the seals once a quarter to ensure good sealing and prevent paint fuel from volatilizing and leaking. It is also necessary to regularly test the gas concentration in the tank, install a gas detection alarm, set a reasonable alarm value, and ventilate in time if the concentration exceeds the standard.
