During the entire painting operation, smoking and using open flames around the storage tank are strictly prohibited. Construction equipment must have explosion-proof functions to prevent fuel vapor explosions caused by sparks.
Continuously monitor the oil and gas concentration in the tank and the surrounding area. Once it approaches the dangerous threshold, stop the operation immediately and strengthen ventilation until the concentration returns to a safe range.
If you need to enter the tank for construction, you must fully ventilate the tank in advance, use safe voltage lighting equipment, construction workers must wear seat belts, and have a dedicated person to monitor outside the tank.
2. Environmental considerations
Painting should be done in sunny, dry and well-ventilated weather, and avoid construction in rainy, humid or windy environments. Rain and moisture will affect the adhesion of paint, and strong winds will easily cause dust to adhere to the paint surface, reducing the quality of the coating.
Pay attention to the temperature at the construction site. Most paints are suitable for construction in an environment of 5℃ - 35℃. If the temperature is too low, the paint will dry slowly, and if it is too high, it will easily cause the paint to flow and bubble.
3. Control of paint characteristics
Mix paint strictly according to the requirements of the paint product manual, control the ratio of paint and thinner, and ensure stable paint performance.
After opening, use the paint as soon as possible to avoid long-term exposure to the air, which may cause solvent volatilization and paint deterioration. Unused paint must be sealed and properly stored to prevent impurities from mixing.
4. Construction details
After each coat of paint is applied, it must be fully dried and solidified before the next coat can be applied. Control the drying time according to the paint instructions.
Regularly check construction tools, such as spray guns, brushes, etc., to ensure that the tools are clean and unblocked, to ensure uniform and consistent painting effects, and to avoid problems such as missed brushing and dripping.
